Filipino-American Jazz Festival

History

The Jazz Society of the Philippines, U.S.A., also known as JazzPhil-USA, is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization founded in February of 2005 by a group of Southern-California based jazz aficionados.

Mission Statement

JazzPhil-USA presents talented jazz artists of Filipino descent -- not only to the many Filipino-American communities throughout the United States but also to mainstream American jazz audiences.  JazzPhil-USA supports the academic and professional development of Filipino-American jazz artists, and fosters camaraderie among musicians and fans of every persuasion, bound in a common appreciation of jazz.  The organization pursues the establishment of local chapters in cities and states where there is a significant Filipino-American population.
